AR automation

HighRadius competitors and HighRadius alternatives compared: Versapay, Billtrust, Quadient AR by YayPay, Esker, BlackLine, Sidetrade and Serrala

HighRadius competes mainly with Versapay, Billtrust, Quadient AR by YayPay, Esker, BlackLine, Sidetrade and Serrala. The short version: HighRadius is the enterprise pick, strongest where cash application and deductions run at volume across several ERPs and entities. Versapay wins when disputes and billing queries are the reason invoices go late. Billtrust wins when your customers dictate how invoices must arrive. Quadient AR leads on collections cadence and pay-date prediction for the mid-market. Esker sells the broad order-to-cash suite, BlackLine pulls cash application into the financial close, Sidetrade is the one major platform that places autonomous outbound collection calls, and Serrala goes deepest on SAP.

One filter cuts this shortlist faster than any feature grid. HighRadius publishes integrations for SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and NetSuite. QuickBooks, Xero and Sage are not on that published list, which removes it from consideration for a large share of US teams before the demo. The second filter is time. G2 puts the average HighRadius implementation at around eight months, and mid-market reviewers there report rollouts running from three months to a year with real IT involvement. If you need collections working this quarter, that alone decides it. We build a competing collections product, so read the last row of the table as our own position rather than a neutral verdict, and confirm current capability and pricing with each vendor directly.

Why it works

What your team gets with HighRadius competitors

HighRadius is priced and sized for enterprise, and that is the real filter

HighRadius says it serves more than 1,500 enterprises including 3M, Unilever and Red Bull, and its review profile matches that: G2 shows roughly 220 reviews at about 4.3 out of 5, with enterprise and mid-market making up the bulk of them. That is a genuine strength if you run several ERPs, multiple entities and a deductions backlog measured in thousands of open claims. It is the wrong shape if you are one finance team on one ledger. Most of the vendors below exist because that second group needed something lighter.

Sort your late invoices by cause, then pick from this list

Pull ninety days of past-due invoices and label each with why it was late. Unapplied cash, short pays and deductions at volume point at HighRadius or BlackLine. Disputes and billing queries point at Versapay. Invoices that never arrived in the format the customer demanded point at Billtrust. A whole order-to-cash cycle you want from one vendor points at Esker or Serrala. Invoices that were correct, delivered, undisputed and simply ignored point at a collections tool, and that is a far narrower job than any suite on this page is built for.

Outcome-based pricing changed the question you should ask

HighRadius announced outcome-based pricing in February 2026: no implementation fee, no subscription fee until go-live, and the vendor earning a fraction of the savings the client actually realizes. That is a genuinely buyer-friendly structure and it removes the usual upfront risk. It also makes the contract harder to compare against a flat quote, so the question shifts from what does it cost to how is the saving measured, who agrees the baseline, and what happens in year three once the easy gains are banked. Get the measurement method in writing before the commercial terms.

What it handles

Chased, collected and reconciled on autopilot

The agent syncs your invoices, chases each one across email, SMS and phone, applies incoming payments to the right invoice, reconciles your ledger, and predicts when every customer will pay.

  • Connects to QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or Sage in days with a two-way sync
  • Chases every overdue invoice across email, then SMS, then a live AI phone call
  • Goes live in days rather than the months an enterprise suite rollout takes
  • Applies incoming payments to the right invoice and reconciles the ledger
  • Flags short pays and deductions at cash application instead of absorbing them
  • Predicts a pay date per invoice from real payer behavior, not just due dates
  • Flat monthly fee, no per-seat pricing and no percentage of what it collects
ON EVERY INVOICE In order
  1. 01 Sync Reads the open invoice, its terms and the billing contact from your ledger.
  2. 02 Chase Escalates from email to SMS to a live AI call as the invoice ages.
  3. 03 Track Logs replies, disputes and promise-to-pay dates against the invoice.
  4. 04 Apply Matches the incoming payment, reconciles the ledger and closes the invoice.
Nothing sent without your approved tone

How it compares

HighRadius and its main competitors compared

What each platform is genuinely strongest at, and where it is the wrong tool. Verified August 2026.

Platform Strongest at Where it is weaker Built for Pricing
HighRadius AI cash application on messy remittance, deductions and credit at enterprise scale Long rollout, and no published QuickBooks, Xero or Sage integration Large finance organizations on SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or NetSuite Outcome-based since February 2026, no public list price
Versapay A shared buyer and seller portal where invoices are viewed, disputed and paid in one place Value depends on customer portal adoption, and no QuickBooks or Xero integration is published Mid-market B2B running NetSuite, Sage Intacct or Dynamics 365 Custom quote, no public list price
Billtrust Multi-channel invoice delivery across email, print, EDI and buyer AP portals, plus payments Heavier than teams who only need chasing, and delivery scope lengthens rollout Billers whose customers dictate how invoices must arrive Custom quote, commonly with a per-seat component
Quadient AR by YayPay Collections cadence, escalation rules and predicted pay dates for mid-market teams Lighter on deductions and dispute depth than the enterprise suites Mid-market AR teams wanting workflow without an enterprise rollout Custom quote, form only, published revenue floor for qualifying
Esker One broad order-to-cash suite covering delivery, collections, cash application and claims Each module is solid rather than specialist, so depth is moderate across the board Teams that want a single vendor for the whole order-to-cash cycle Custom quote, no public list price
BlackLine Tying cash application into the financial close and account reconciliation AR arrived through the 2020 Rimilia acquisition and sits inside a close platform, not a collections tool Enterprise controllers already standardized on BlackLine Custom quote, no public list price
Sidetrade Autonomous outbound collection calls through its Aimie agent, plus collections prioritization European enterprise centre of gravity, and AI agents are licensed per agent with capped executions Large multinational credit and collections teams Subscription per AI agent with capped monthly executions
Serrala The deepest SAP-native finance automation across receivables, payables and treasury Narrow outside SAP estates, and heavier than a collections tool SAP-standardized enterprises wanting one finance automation vendor Custom quote, no public list price
AccountsReceivable.ai Doing the chasing itself: email, then SMS, then a live AI phone call, live in days Not an invoice delivery, EDI, print or enterprise credit-scoring platform Small and mid-sized teams with no collections headcount Flat monthly fee, no seats, no cut of collections

Why AccountsReceivable.ai

One agent that runs the whole receivables job

Not a reminder tool, not a six-figure suite, and not an agency that takes a cut. Chase, collect, apply cash and forecast in one place, on top of the accounting system you already use.

Chases every invoice

The full dunning sequence runs on autopilot across email, SMS and live AI phone calls, polite and on-brand, so no overdue invoice slips through.

Applies the cash

Incoming wires and ACH batches are matched to the right invoices automatically, so your ledger reconciles and you never chase an invoice that already paid.

Cuts your DSO

A predicted pay date for every open invoice and steady follow-up bring DSO down week over week, so more cash lands when you need it.

Good questions

Questions about HighRadius competitors

Last updated August 2026

The main HighRadius competitors are Versapay, Billtrust, Quadient AR by YayPay, Esker, BlackLine, Sidetrade and Serrala. Versapay and Quadient AR compete hardest in the mid-market, Billtrust competes on invoice delivery and payments, and Esker, BlackLine and Serrala compete at enterprise scale from the order-to-cash, financial close and SAP directions respectively.
It depends which HighRadius module you actually need. For cash application, BlackLine and Esker are the closest enterprise equivalents. For collections workflow, Quadient AR by YayPay and Sidetrade. For disputes and buyer collaboration, Versapay. For teams on QuickBooks, Xero or Sage, none of the enterprise suites publish an integration, which is where lighter collections tools including ours fit.
HighRadius does not publish a list price. Since February 2026 it has offered outcome-based pricing: no implementation fee, no subscription fee until go-live, and HighRadius earning a fraction of the savings a client realizes. Public contract data from buyer platforms has put historical deals near a median of about 13,000 dollars a year, which is directional rather than a rate card.
G2 lists the average HighRadius implementation at roughly eight months, and mid-market reviewers there describe rollouts running anywhere from three months to a year with meaningful IT involvement. Scope drives it: a single cash application module lands faster than cash application, deductions and credit across several entities. Ask for a named reference at your size and ERP.
HighRadius publishes integrations for SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and NetSuite. QuickBooks, Xero and Sage do not appear on that published list. For a lot of US small and mid-sized teams that single fact ends the evaluation, because the ledger the invoices live in is the one thing a receivables tool has to reach.
They solve different failure modes. HighRadius is better when your problem is unapplied cash, deductions and short pays at volume across multiple ERPs. Versapay is better when invoices go late because customers dispute them or cannot get an answer, since its shared portal puts buyer and seller on the same invoice. Diagnose why your invoices are late first.
Quadient AR by YayPay is the mid-market option: faster to deploy, strong on collections cadence, escalation rules and predicted pay dates, and it publishes a QuickBooks Online integration that HighRadius does not. HighRadius goes far deeper on cash application, deductions and credit at enterprise volume. Company size and ERP usually decide this one before features do.
Neither is better in general, because they lead with different jobs. Billtrust is strongest at getting the invoice delivered the way each customer demands, across email, print, EDI and buyer AP portals, then collecting payment. HighRadius is strongest at what happens after the money arrives. If invoices are late because they never landed correctly, that points to Billtrust.
No. HighRadius automates dunning emails, escalation tasks, worklists and payment portal reminders, but the phone call is still made by your team. Among the platforms on this page only Sidetrade places autonomous outbound collection calls, through its Aimie agent. AccountsReceivable.ai also places a live AI call once an invoice has ignored the earlier steps.
Sometimes, and the test is volume rather than revenue. If you process thousands of payments a month with messy remittance, or carry a deductions backlog nobody can clear, the automation pays for itself. If your issue is a few hundred invoices where some customers simply pay late, an eight-month enterprise rollout is a heavy answer to a light problem.
Both automate cash application, but they approach it from opposite ends. HighRadius comes from order-to-cash and surrounds cash application with collections, deductions and credit. BlackLine came to AR through the 2020 Rimilia acquisition and sits inside a financial close and reconciliation platform. Pick by which team owns the problem, AR or the controller.
Four things. Which ERP connector will you actually use and is it certified. What straight-through match rate did comparable customers hit against their own last ninety days of payments, not a benchmark. How is the saving baselined and measured under outcome-based pricing. And what is a realistic go-live date for the exact modules you need, with a reference at your size.
