Best AR Automation Software for Dynamics 365 Business Central and F&O

Business Central emails reminder PDFs and F&O gives collectors a workspace, but neither texts, calls or reads a reply. Here is which AR vendors name a connector for each Dynamics product, who publishes a price, who sends SMS or places calls, and what to ask before you sign.

The best AR automation software for Dynamics 365 depends first on which Dynamics you run. On Business Central, the vendors that name a native connector on their own sites are Versapay, Quadient AR by YayPay, Paystand, Chaser, Invoiced by Flywire, Unified A/R and AccountsReceivable.ai. On Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations the list narrows to Versapay, Paystand and Invoiced, plus the enterprise suites from HighRadius, Emagia and Serrala. Only Chaser and AccountsReceivable.ai print a US dollar price. Kolleno puts Business Central on its custom Enterprise tier only, and Upflow lists it as coming soon.

That split matters more than any feature grid. A Business Central shop with one entity and a two-person finance team is buying something very different from an F&O company with a shared-services credit department, and most vendor roundups mix the two together. This guide separates them, shows what Dynamics already does for receivables on its own, and compares the vendors on the three things that decide a shortlist: which Dynamics product they connect to, whether you can see a price, and whether anything beyond email goes out. We build one of the products in the table, so treat our row as our own position and confirm every vendor's current connector with them directly.

What Business Central and F&O already do on their own

Business Central handles the formal side of collections well. You set up reminder terms with levels by days overdue, add a grace period so a customer who paid yesterday does not get a letter, and attach fees or interest if your terms allow it. The Create Reminders and Issue Reminders batch jobs can run on the job queue, so reminders are built and emailed on a schedule without anyone pressing a button. Finance charge memos bill interest separately. What the customer receives is a PDF, emailed or printed.

On the cash side, the Payment Reconciliation Journal imports a bank statement file and matches payments to open entries using rules you configure. It works well when the bank feed is clean and the payment references are good. When your bank only provides PDF statements, you can convert the PDF bank statement into a file Business Central can import rather than keying lines by hand. What the journal cannot do is read a remittance email, split one ACH deposit that covers nine invoices with no reference, or explain a short payment.

Dynamics 365 Finance goes further on process. Its collections features give a collector a workspace with customer aging snapshots, activities, notes and collection letters, which is a real step up for a staffed credit team. It is still a workspace for a person, though. Neither product sends a text message, places a phone call, reads the reply that says the invoice was never received, or turns "we will pay on the 15th" into a follow-up on the 16th. That gap is what every vendor below is selling into.

AR automation vendors for Dynamics 365 compared

The table lists what each vendor says on its own site, plus third-party price benchmarks where the vendor publishes none. A connector for Business Central does not mean a connector for F&O, and some vendors write "Microsoft Dynamics" without saying which one, so confirm the product and version before a demo.

Two things stand out. Paystand publishes the widest Dynamics list of anyone, covering Business Central, F&O and GP, but it comes at receivables from payments: it moves customers onto its bank-to-bank network and has no sequence builder for chasing. And on Business Central, the vendors that will actually text or call a late payer are a short list: Chaser, Kolleno on an Enterprise contract, Emagia, and us. For a deeper look at how each vendor builds its connectors, our guide to AR automation platforms with native ERP connectors compares the connector lists side by side across every major ledger.

What AR software integrates with Microsoft Dynamics?

Vendors that name a Business Central connector on their own sites include Versapay, Quadient AR by YayPay, Paystand, Chaser, Invoiced by Flywire, Unified A/R and AccountsReceivable.ai. For Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Versapay, Paystand and Invoiced name a connector (our page on Invoiced alternatives compares that last one with its rivals), alongside HighRadius, Emagia and Serrala at the enterprise end. Kolleno offers Business Central on its Enterprise tier only, and Upflow lists it as coming soon.

Does Business Central have accounts receivable automation?

Partly. Business Central automates creating, issuing and emailing reminders through reminder terms, levels and the job queue, calculates finance charges, and applies bank payments through the Payment Reconciliation Journal. It does not send text messages, place collection calls, read customer replies or track promises to pay. Most teams keep the BC reminder as the formal notice and add an AR tool for the follow-up that actually gets paid.

Can Business Central send payment reminders automatically?

Yes, by email. You define reminder terms and levels by days overdue, assign them to customers, and put the Create Reminders and Issue Reminders jobs on the job queue. Each reminder goes out as a PDF. The limit is that the next step after an ignored reminder is always another PDF on the next run, with no text, no call and no reading of the reply. That is the step AR automation for Business Central picks up.

What is the best AR software for Microsoft Dynamics 365 users?

The best AR software for Dynamics 365 users is the one that names a connector for your exact product and fixes your actual bottleneck. Business Central teams whose invoices get ignored should look at Chaser or AccountsReceivable.ai, which publish prices and send SMS. F&O companies with heavy cash application work should look at Versapay or HighRadius. Payments-led teams should price Paystand.

How much does AR automation for Business Central cost?

AR automation for Business Central costs from about $259 to $1,169 a month on Chaser's published US plans, and $299 to $2,998 a month on AccountsReceivable.ai, both flat fees. Everyone else quotes. Third-party benchmarks put Versapay near $5,423 a year (from only 4 buyers) and HighRadius near $12,973. Kolleno charges per user in pounds and needs its Enterprise tier for Business Central.

Read those quotes carefully. A per-seat price multiplies every time you add a collector, a percentage-of-payments model grows with your revenue, and a payments-led vendor's real cost sits in the processing fees. Our breakdowns of Versapay pricing and Chaser pricing show how two of the Business Central options above add up over a year.

How to choose by situation

A Business Central SMB that wants a price today

If you have one or two entities, a finance team you can count on one hand, and invoices that go out correctly but get paid late, you do not need an order-to-cash suite. You need the follow-up that Business Central stops short of. Chaser and AccountsReceivable.ai both publish their prices and connect natively. The difference is in what happens after the email: Chaser gives you SMS and call allowances, while we add a live AI phone call from the Growth plan and check Business Central before every message, so a customer who paid this morning never gets a text this afternoon. Our full accounts receivable automation pricing lists what each plan includes.

A Business Central company that wants to move customers to a new payment rail

If the real problem is card fees, paper checks and slow ACH rather than ignored invoices, Paystand is worth pricing. Its flat subscription replaces per-transaction card fees on its own network, and its Dynamics coverage is the widest in the category. Ask what share of your payers actually switch, because the business case depends on adoption, and remember it will not chase anyone for you.

An F&O enterprise with a shared-services credit team

Here Versapay, HighRadius, Emagia and Serrala are the realistic shortlist. Versapay pairs cash application with a collaborative customer portal and names F&SCM directly. HighRadius and Emagia sell broader order-to-cash suites, and Emagia is one of the few vendors that places AI outbound calls. Expect a quote, an implementation project and a multi-year contract. If your company also runs older ledgers in other divisions, our guide to AR automation software for legacy ERP covers GP, Sage 300 and the rest.

A team that needs SMS and calls, not another dashboard

Most vendors in this table send email and stop. If your overdue list is full of customers who never open an email, the channel matters more than the analytics. On Business Central, that narrows the field quickly. If you are also comparing Upflow, note that its SMS and calls are billed as usage fees with rates it does not print, and Business Central is not live yet; our page on Upflow alternatives compares it with the vendors that are.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • Which Dynamics product, which version? "Microsoft Dynamics" on a logo wall can mean Business Central, F&O, GP or none of them in production.
  • Which way does the sync run? Reading open invoices is easy. Posting applied cash back to the ledger is where connectors differ.
  • Does it stop when the invoice is paid? Ask how often it checks Dynamics before a send, and what happens to an entry you put on hold.
  • What is billed outside the subscription? Seats, SMS, calls, payment processing and implementation all show up somewhere.
  • Who places the calls? A call allowance can mean a person dialing through the platform, which is not the same as the software making the call.

The fastest way to see the difference is to watch the follow-up itself. Run the sample receivables book at the top of this page to see the aging and the exact reminder each customer would get, then connect Business Central when you are ready.
