BlueSnap AR Automation Pricing and Processing Fees for US B2B Teams
BlueSnap, now owned by Payroc, publishes no price for its AR automation module but does publish the US processing schedule underneath it. Here is every published fee, what card and uncapped ACH percentages add up to at three invoice volumes, and seven things to get in writing.

BlueSnap does not publish a price for its Accounts Receivable Automation product. What it does publish is the payment processing schedule that sits underneath it: for a US merchant, 2.90 percent plus 30 cents on US cards and 0.50 percent plus 30 cents on ACH, with no cap, plus a 25 dollar fee per chargeback. For most B2B companies those percentages, not the software subscription, are the biggest line in the total cost. This article lays out what BlueSnap states, what the US fee schedule says, what that adds up to at three invoice volumes, and what to get in writing before you sign.
Some background first, because the product has changed hands twice. BlueSnap bought Armatic, an invoicing and receivables automation company, in October 2019 and folded it into its platform as BlueSnap Accounts Receivable Automation. Payroc, a US payments acquirer, completed its purchase of BlueSnap on October 9, 2025, and the site footer now reads "BlueSnap, Powered by Payroc". If your last quote predates that deal, ask whether the terms still stand.
How much does BlueSnap AR automation cost?
There is no list price for the AR module. BlueSnap's pricing page names Accounts Receivable Automation as a product under invoicing and billing, then links only to regional processing schedules. The G2 listing for the product carries no price either. So the cost comes in two parts, and only one of them is public.
| Cost component | What BlueSnap publishes | How sure you can be |
|---|---|---|
| AR automation software | Nothing. Quoted by sales | Unknown until you have a written quote |
| US-issued card payments | 2.90% + $0.30 per transaction | Published on the US Schedule 1, version 23 |
| Non-US-issued cards | 4.40% + $0.30 | Published |
| ACH (direct debit) | 0.50% + $0.30, no cap stated | Published |
| Chargebacks | $25 per chargeback; $15 per ACH reversal | Published |
| ACH account validation | $1.50 per validation, per NACHA rules | Published |
| Cards keyed into the virtual terminal | An extra 0.50% of the transaction | Published |
| Fraud screening (default) | $0.05 per transaction | Published |
| Low-volume months | $75 platform access fee in any month under $5,000 in sales, waived for the first six months | Published |
| Professional services | $2,000 per day if you need them | Published |
The schedule also says the offer is valid for 90 days and can change after a risk review of your application, so the published rates are a starting point, not a contract. Payouts are daily, two business days after settlement, with a 50 cent fee per US ACH transfer to your bank and 20 dollars per wire.
What does BlueSnap AR automation include?
BlueSnap's product page describes automated invoicing, "communications and dunning automation", a branded self-service portal where customers view their account and pay, payment links that can go out by SMS, automatic payment reconciliation, and compliant surcharging on one-time or recurring payments. It lists prebuilt integrations with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite, Xero and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
The vendor's headline result is an 87 percent reduction in days sales outstanding for Valvoline. That is a vendor case-study figure, not an audited benchmark, and a company of Valvoline's size had its own reasons for slow collections. Ask for a reference customer closer to your invoice volume.
Two things are missing from the page. There is no mention of phone calls, by a person or by software, and no description of what happens when a customer replies to a reminder with a question or a dispute. For a payments company that is not surprising: the product is built to make paying easy for a customer who intends to pay. It is lighter on the work of chasing one who does not.
What does BlueSnap cost at your invoice volume?
Here is the processing math at three volumes, using only the published US rates. It assumes every invoice is paid through BlueSnap, a typical B2B mix of card and ACH, and no surcharging. Swap in your own numbers; the formula is simply the percentage times the dollars plus 30 cents times the count.
| Monthly invoiced | Invoices and average | Paid by card | Card fees | ACH fees | Processing a month | Processing a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $100,000 | 100 at $1,000 | 25% | $732.50 | $397.50 | $1,130 | $13,560 |
| $400,000 | 100 at $4,000 | 30% | $3,489 | $1,421 | $4,910 | $58,920 |
| $1,000,000 | 100 at $10,000 | 20% | $5,806 | $4,024 | $9,830 | $117,960 |
Add the AR software quote on top. Two details drive most of that total, and both are worth raising on the sales call.
The ACH rate is a percentage. At 0.50 percent with no cap stated, a single 10,000 dollar ACH payment costs 50.30 dollars, and a 50,000 dollar one costs 250.30. Other AR platforms price ACH differently: Upflow's payments add-on publishes 0.8 percent capped at 5 dollars, and Chargezoom's entry tier publishes a flat 50 cents. For a B2B seller with large invoices, a cap or a flat ACH fee changes the economics more than anything else in the quote. Ask BlueSnap for one in writing.
Surcharging moves card fees, not ACH fees. BlueSnap supports compliant surcharging, which can pass part of the card cost to the customer. Card network rules cap surcharges, several states restrict them, and debit cards cannot be surcharged. Some customers will simply switch to ACH, which is fine for you, and some will resent the line on the invoice. Model it as a partial offset, not a zero.
Disputes add up too. Each card chargeback carries a 25 dollar fee before you even decide whether to fight it, and BlueSnap charges again for representment. If disputed card payments are already a regular cost in your business, dedicated chargeback prevention software that answers disputes with evidence is worth pricing alongside the AR quote.
What drives a BlueSnap AR automation quote?
Because the module is sold by a payments company, the quote tends to follow your processing volume. Expect these to move it:
- Monthly card and ACH volume you will route through BlueSnap, and your average ticket.
- Your industry and risk profile, since the schedule is subject to a risk review.
- Which integration you need and whether it is a two-way sync.
- Number of entities and currencies.
- Whether you want implementation help at 2,000 dollars a day.
The software line may be modest, or bundled, precisely because the processing margin is where a payments company earns. That is a reasonable model, as long as you compare it against the processing you would pay anyway with your current bank or processor.
Is BlueSnap AR automation worth it?
It is a good fit if you want invoicing, a branded payment portal, card and ACH acceptance and reconciliation from one vendor, you sell to customers who are happy to pay online, and your invoices are small enough that a percentage ACH fee stays modest. Companies already processing with BlueSnap or Payroc get the most from it, because the payments side is already in place.
It is a weaker fit in three cases. If your invoices are large, the uncapped ACH percentage can cost more per year than a full AR subscription. If your late payers need a phone call or a reply to their question, the product page does not describe that work. And if you are happy with your current bank or processor, moving every payment to a new one is a bigger project than adding collections automation on top of what you have.

Seven things to get in writing before you sign
- The monthly or annual price of the AR automation module itself, separate from processing.
- Your card and ACH rates after the risk review, and whether ACH can be capped per transaction.
- Every fixed monthly fee: platform access, PCI, fraud screening and any minimums.
- Which edition of your ledger is supported (QuickBooks Online or Desktop, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero, Business Central) and how often it syncs.
- What happens after the last reminder. Is there a text, a call, or a task for your team?
- Whether the terms changed after the Payroc acquisition, and who you call for support.
- The contract term, the notice period and how you export your customer and payment data if you leave.
When is a flat-fee collections agent the better buy?
When the cash you are missing is sitting in invoices nobody followed up, not in customers who could not find a pay button. AccountsReceivable.ai connects to QuickBooks or Xero on Starter and to NetSuite on Growth. It emails first, then texts from your own number, and on Growth places a live AI call that answers questions from the invoice record and records a promise-to-pay date. It checks the balance before every touch, so a customer who paid this morning is never chased, and it matches incoming payments to open invoices.
The price is a flat monthly fee whatever the dollar value of your invoices, and it never takes a percentage of what it collects. To see how it works, run the sample receivables book at the top of this page and watch the agent chase, collect and reconcile, or upload an aging export as a CSV on the homepage to get an aging report and the wording of the first reminder.
Frequently asked questions
Does BlueSnap charge for ACH payments?
Yes. BlueSnap's US pricing schedule lists direct debit, which covers US ACH, at 0.50 percent plus 30 cents per transaction, with no cap stated. It also lists 15 dollars per ACH reversal or failed payment and 1.50 dollars to validate each new bank account under NACHA rules. Ask whether a per-transaction cap is available for large invoices.
What is BlueSnap's chargeback fee?
The US schedule lists 25 dollars per chargeback. Fighting it costs more: 10 dollars per dispute for self-service or BlueSnap-represented chargebacks and 15 dollars for full-service representment, with second chargebacks passed through at the card schemes' cost. Prevention alerts from Ethoca and Verifi are 40 dollars each where required.
Does BlueSnap AR automation integrate with QuickBooks?
BlueSnap lists prebuilt integrations with QuickBooks, Xero, Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Its page does not say which QuickBooks edition is supported, so confirm whether you get QuickBooks Online, Desktop or both, and whether payments sync back to the invoice automatically.
Is BlueSnap owned by Payroc?
Yes. Payroc completed its acquisition of BlueSnap on October 9, 2025, after agreeing the deal on July 31, 2025. BlueSnap's site now carries "Powered by Payroc" in the footer. The AR automation product came from BlueSnap's earlier purchase of Armatic in 2019.
Does BlueSnap send SMS reminders or make collection calls?
Its product page mentions sending payment links by SMS and automated dunning communications. It does not describe phone calls, whether placed by staff or by software. If calls are part of how you collect, look at tools that publish them, such as Chaser's recorded calls or the live AI calls on the AccountsReceivable.ai Growth plan.
What are the best BlueSnap AR automation alternatives?
If you want payments and AR from one vendor, Paystand, Chargezoom and Biller Genie are the closest matches. If you want to keep your current processor and add chasing on top, Chaser starts at 259 dollars a month in the US, and AccountsReceivable.ai costs a flat 299 dollars a month on Starter with email and SMS, or 799 on Growth with live AI calls and NetSuite.
